"Deadpool" screenwriter Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick spoke with CinemaBlend about the inspiration for the upcoming "Deadpool 2" script.

"It's how we went about the first one, you know?" said Wernick. "We dove into all of the runs, and then, you know, fell in love with the character and the tone and the texture. Then we set down the comics and came up with our own storyline, and I think we'll do the same for the second one."

No details have been confirmed on McLaughlin's role, but TV Line has connected the dots a bit into a credible educated guess: "McLaughlin seems to match a recent casting breakdown for 'Rebecca,' a teenage character who appears in Episode 19 -- with the potential to recur -- and is described as a 'smart, snarky' 'escapee of a dangerous cult.'"

According to a report from US Weekly, an insider close to "BvS" has said that Ben Affleck "would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit" and then Affleck "would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn't thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of."

In a chat with Empire, Punisher actor Jon Bernthal weighed in on the possibility of a spinoff series for his character.

"We're the last to know about these things," Bernthal told Empire regarding a potential solo series run. "But this guy is burned into my heart and soul. I think about him all the time. And I look at it the same way Frank would look at it. I'm a soldier, man. If they call on me, I'll stand to attention, and I'll be ready."

"Game of Thrones" star Finn Jones will play martial arts master Danny Rand in "Iron Fist's" Netflix series, according to Entertainment Weekly. The report of the casting originally surfaced in That Hashtag Show podcast. CBR News has reached out to Marvel Television and Netflix for confirmation. Both Marvel and Netflix declined comment on EW's report.

SUPERGIRL





CBS has released a trio of clips from next week's "Solitude" episode of "Supergirl."

While speaking with IGN, "Arrow" star Stephen Amell revealed that he'd like to appear on "Supergirl" just like "Flash" lead Grant Gustin. Amell laughed when asked the question and shared, "I would love to go over to 'Supergirl.' That would be a blast, if for no other reason than I miss shooting in Los Angeles."

THOR: RAGNAROK

During a talk with Den of Geek, actor Stellan Skarsgard confirmed that he will not appear in "Thor: Ragnarok."

"I have a five-film deal with them, and they still have one option" said Skarsgard, who has played Dr. Erik Selvig in both the previous two "Thor" and "Avengers" movies. "Thor 3 is not on my slate, but maybe the next Avengers."

Norman Reedus talked about his ongoing "Walking Dead" prank war with co-star Andrew Lincoln during an appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden." One of the more recent pranks involved Reedus filling Lincoln's trailer with -- yep -- chickens.
