COMIC REEL: “Deadpool” Gets in the Holiday Spirit; Reverse-Flash Speeds Back to “The Flash”

Barry Allen’s first nemesis, Eobard Thawne, will return in his original form in the back half of “The Flash” season 2. Matt Letscher will reprise the role, which means the character will not be disguised as Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), as he was in the show’s premiere season.

“His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision,” executive producer Todd Helbing told Entertainment Weekly.

The “12 Days of Deadpool” campaign is the gift that keeps on giving. “Deadpool” star Ryan Renyolds Tweeted out Deadpool’s version of a burning log video, which runs for roughly 69 minutes and features the sounds of soft holiday music and a crackling fire.

Since then, two new TV spots have surfaced online.

Reynolds also released a new poster for the film with a cameo by none other than Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

Additionally, Entertainment Weekly announced that Andre Tricoteux — the actor originally signed to play Colossus — has been replaced by Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic. Kapicic, who has appeared on “24” and “The Event,” voiced the character, and partially performed the role using motion capture.

The latest “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” TV spot features new dialogue and footage while leaning heavily into its “Dark Knight Returns” influences.

Medicom also unveiled figures for Wonder Woman and Armored Batman, which offer a detailed look at the two characters. The figures stand about 6.3 inches tall, and feature 20 points of articulation. Wonder Woman comes with lasso, sword and shield, while Armored Batman boasts a fabric cape and grapnel gun.

In a new TV spot, the “Legends of Tomorrow” begin their quest to stop Vandal Savage by heading back to the 1970s.

The CW also released all-new cast photos for its latest superhero epic on the heels of the above teaser.

“Avengers” star Mark Ruffalo weighed in on Bruce Banner and the Hulk’s character development, where he teased that the two personalities might be starting to merge together.

When Ain’tItCoolNews asked where he sees the character post-“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Ruffalo explained, “It’s very subtle, but the Banner/Hulk consciousness is beginning to meld a little bit. Who decided to leave [in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’]? Was it Banner or Hulk? It’s not really in the mythology of Hulk up until that moment to be that conscious and pro-active. It’s interesting, right?”

“iZombie” returns to The CW on January 12th with “Method Head,” the tenth episode of season two.

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL – Liv (Rose McIver) is crushed to discover that the lead actor on her favorite show, “Zombie High” has been murdered on set. Meanwhile, Vaughn (guest star Steven Weber) tests Major’s (Robert Buckley) loyalty, and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) delivers bad news. Lastly, Blaine (David Anders) receives an unexpected visitor. Malcolm Goodwin also stars. Mark Piznarski directed the episode written by Kit Boss.
