COMIC REEL: “Deadpool” Gets Early Home Release; “The Flash” Movie Characters Rumored

Ryan Reynolds announced this week that the digital home release of “Deadpool” would be coming out two weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray release. That means that on Tuesday, April 26 fans can buy and rent “Deadpool” via streaming outlets, instead of having to wait until May 10.

THE FLASH MOVIE

Heroic Hollywood has reported that Warner Bros. is beginning to cast supporting characters for their upcoming film “The Flash.” According to HH, “The Flash” movie could possibly co-star Iris West, Eobard Thawne, Fred Chyre, Len Snart, and Jay Garrick. The breakdowns for these characters are a mix between the characters we have seen on CW’s “The Flash,” and characters from “Batman v Superman.”

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

A new promo has landed for “Captain America: Civil War,” a news video, featuring “Iron Man” reporter Christine Everheart. On her news program, which is set in the world of The Avengers, she interviews a political correspondent on the responsibility that superheros have in the aftermath of a disaster. The video is part of Marvel’s viral marketing campaign for the film and directly ties into the events of “Civil War.”

“Civil War” directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been on a press tour with the cast of “Captain America” all over the world this week. Yesterday Joe Russo, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan celebrated #TeamCap by setting off a huge fireworks display in Singapore.

The synopsis for Kevin Smith’s episode of “The Flash” has been released and it features the return of a season one character, Girder.

THE FLASH — “The Runaway Dinosaur” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV) KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS — With Barry (Grant Gustin) gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy — Girder (guest star Greg Finley). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris (Candice Patton) volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

A new promo has been release for next week’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Leviathan.”

LONDON 2166 – Rip (Arthur Darvill) takes the team to London in the year 2166, three months before his family is killed. He believes this to be their final opportunity to take out Savage (Casper Crump) who is, unfortunately, at the height of his power. However, the team discovers two key elements to defeating him – Savage’s daughter (guest star Jessica Sipos) and the means to kill Savage once and for all.

In the penultimate episode of “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Destiny,” Kendra and Carter are reunited.

CAPTURED – Being in the vicinity of the Time Masters leaves Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) incredibly disturbed for very different reasons. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) takes over the Waverider, Kendra (Ciara Renee) is reunited with Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) and Snart (Wentworth Miller) decides he might be a hero after all.
