While talking to Collider, Samuel L. Jackson revealed that he's not in "Civil War" and he "can't figure that out."

"It's really great to be the connective tissue between so many different characters in so many different films, that brings those guys together," Jackson told Collider. "But I'm not in 'Captain America 3.' I can't figure that out, but I'm not. I guess I'm still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are."

But Jackson says he wants to stick with the character well past the two films he has remaining in his contract. "Of course [I'm interested in returning]! I'm looking for a contract extension right now, yeah," Jackson said. "I'm looking to re-up."

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Heroic Hollywood has another rumor from "Batman v Superman," this time focusing on a weapon the Dark Knight may use in the film. The rumor, which HH reports on without a source, states that Batman may carry a "kryptonite laced spear" when going up against Superman.

The Hollywood Reporter has an interview with Greg Silverman -- WB's President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production -- wherein he talks about the tone of WB/DC's slate of films.

"There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters," Silverman said. "The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren't making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There's also humor, which is an important part."

FANTASTIC FOUR

In an interview with the LA Times' Hero Complex, "FF" writer Simon Kinberg spoke to the decision to change Ben Grimm's character in stature and disposition.

"The change of Jamie as Ben being a smaller guy instead of a bigger guy, for example, was for a purpose," said Kinberg. "It's more dramatic when that character becomes a huge rock creature -- that's a bigger transformation. The notion of a working-class tough guy who's been pushed around by his bigger brothers his whole life seemed like a more interesting character than the guy who started as a football player and just ended up being 4 inches taller."

The cast of "Fantastic Four" also grace the cover of August's Total Film magazine.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2

In an interview with Digital Spy, Chris Pratt revealed that he knows "everything" about "Guardians 2."

"I will say that [James Gunn's] pitch and his idea legitimately put tears in my eyes," he went on to say. "It is so good... I cannot wait to get started on it, and I cannot wait for people to see what he's going to pull off with this second movie. It's so, so big and so good."

He continued, stating that Marvel loved the pitch "and they said nothing. There was no micromanaging of the idea, they just loved it so much that they didn't even have a note for it."

SUPERGIRL

Variety has an interview with costume designer Colleen Atwood wherein she talks about designing the superheroes of "Flash," "Arrow" and "Supergirl." Atwood talked about the thought she put into Melissa Benoist's Supergirl suit.

"I feel like there's a real love for Americana with Supergirl, and I wanted to really embrace that heart of women -- there's enough skin out there in the world, it's not for everybody and Melissa was just the right person to pull it off," said Atwood. "When I read the script I was just really blown away by how strong it was, and I wanted the character to have a strength and presence of self without a bunch of stuff."
