CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

A new featurette focusing on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch has been released, focusing on her motivations.

A new clip has been released featuring Bucky going up against Black Panther, Black Widow, Agent 13 and Iron Man.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed a new set of photos from the film, including the first image of Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo.

ARROW

The CW has released a synopsis for the upcoming “Arrow” episode “Genesis.”

DIGGLE IS CONSUMED WITH GUILT AND SEEKS REVENGE – As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) look for a magical solution to defeat Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough), a vengeance-driven Diggle (David Ramsey) gets a lead on Andy’s (guest star Eugene Byrd) whereabouts and heads off to confront his brother. Meanwhile, Alex (guest star Parker Young) takes Thea (Willa Holland) on a vacation that quickly turns into a nightmare. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#420). Original airdate 5/4/2016.

DEADPOOL 2

As reported by THR, Fox announced during CinemaCon that “Deadpool 2” is indeed moving forward with star Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller set to return. This follows a previous report from just before “Deadpool” arrived in theaters that revealed that screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese would return for the sequel installment.

THE FLASH

The CW has released a synopsis for an upcoming episode of “The Flash,” one titled “Rupture.”

DC COMICS’ CHARACTER RUPTURE COMES TO CENTRAL CITY WITH ZOOM – Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) arrives back on Earth-1 intent on taking over Central City. Barry (Grant Gustin) and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) come up with a plan to stop Zoom once and for all but it’s extremely dangerous. Unsure if he should take the risk, Barry reaches out to both fathers for advice. Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipp) is adamantly opposed to Barry risking his life again but Joe (Jesse L. Martin) thinks he can handle it which puts the two men at odds with each other. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is shocked when he vibes the Earth-2 villain Rupture, who happens to be his brother Dante’s (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez) doppelganger. Rupture came to this Earth seeking justice for Reverb’s death. Iris (Candice Patton) decides she’s finally ready to open up to Barry about her feelings for him. Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Kai Yu Wu & Lauren Certo (#220). Original airdate 5/3/2016.

Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn’t sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time to jump ship and return to their old life. Meanwhile, Savage taunts Ray (Brandon Routh) about his place in Kendra’s life. Alice Troughton directed the episode written by Cortney Norris & Anderson Mackenzie (#114). Original airdate 5/5/2016.

AMC has released a new promo for their upcoming adaptation of the Vertigo series.

SUICIDE SQUAD

Director David Ayer spoke to MTV News about the film’s PG-13 rating.

“For an R movie, you have to decide to do it right out the gate, and that was never the case here.” He added, “We were always going to hit the PG-13 rating. But the film is meant to be that. It’s got edge, and it’s got attitude. And it’s got its own voice…There’s a lot in the film that’s going to surprise people.”

On the possibility of an R-rated sequel, Ayer indicated that he’s open to the idea, saying, “It would be worth lobbying for.”

According to Deadline, Jackie Earle Haley has joined the cast of Amazon’s “The Tick.” He will star alongside series lead Peter Serafinowicz’s the Tick as The Terror. The villain is described as “our world’s epitome of the criminal mastermind, a hooded ancient villain barking at his minions whose incredible will power and tenacity have powered an underworld syndicate for decades.”
