In an interview with MTV, Chris Evans discussed the sequel's role in the larger Marvel mythos. "There are a lot of people in 'Cap 3,'" said Evans. "It's to help jump off into the next 'Avengers: Infinity War.' 'Cap 3′ will be the set up for the real battle."

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

ABC has released a clip from this week's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which focuses on Skye's heritage.

In an interview with SlashFilm, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that an "Age of Ultron" plot hole will get filled on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." When asked if we would find out how -- SPOILER ALERT -- Nick Fury came to possess a Helicarrier, Feige responded:

"I think it's fair to say you could fill in some of those blanks in the coming weeks on Tuesday at 9."

The CW has released a behind the scenes look at this week's episode, "This Is Your Sword."

There are also new photos from Oliver and Nyssa's upcoming wedding in this week's episode.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

SPOILER ALERT for this section, as the film is now in theaters so actors and filmmakers are talking more freely about the movie's twists. First up, Kevin Feige spoke with MTV about Quicksilver's death, saying it was the plan from day one and part of every draft of the script, although fake scenes were written wherein the character lived.

"We even shot him standing with the team at the end," he says, "to prevent people from giving it away ... which MTV just did."

In an interview with CinemaBlend, Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked about that ending Feige mentioned, but spoke about it as if there was wiggle room regarding Pietro's fate.

"It's [the] Marvel universe. It was very much our intention to kind of go the way we did," said Taylor-Johnson. "There was a costume designed for whether... if I didn't [die]. Which was fucking really cool. I was like, 'Oh my God.' I'm not sure if I really can really go down that realm, but you know, yeah, it was definitely an alternative, that I think they had to play with. But, it was very much set from the very beginning, and Joss had in mind to tell the story that he told... and I was very game for that, as well, because I think it really gives [the movie] sort of an emotional twist to it. A surprise."

ComicBookMovie has transcribed a passage from Joss Whedon's recent appearance on the Empire Spoiler Podcast wherein the director reveals what Loki's cameo -- which was cut from the film -- entailed.

"[Loki] is so important to the mythos, and they're like, 'We can't get Tom [Hiddleston]. We can't make a deal," said Whedon. "[They said] 'You can have Idris [Elba]!' I was like, 'Oh, I love Idris! This is great!' And then I talked to Tom, saying, 'Just so you know, I feel bad not telling you, and I would never pressure you, but I really feel like it would be great if you could do this...' And they're like, 'But we already have Idris!' And again, I had no problem there. Everybody's in!... We even had a little reference to the fact that he's taken the throne [of Asgard], which was Tom doing his Anthony Hopkins impression when Thor says, 'Oh, what would father say?' Then Tom does his Hopkins impression, and Thor's like, 'That is uncanny!' It's sort of like his subconscious is telling him that Loki was imitating his father. But he would never make that connection."

Lastly, Jeremy Renner paid a visit to "Conan" and talked about his stunt work...

...and that off-color remark he made about Black Widow.

SUICIDE SQUAD

Tom Hardy, who was originally tapped to play Rick Flagg in "Suicide Squad," spoke with Collider about his decision to leave the project.

"Warner Bros. is my home studio and I love them so I was really bummed out," said Hardy. "I wanted to work on that and I know the script is really fucking alley and I also know what's gonna happen with The Joker and Harley Quinn in that; I won't give away too much...it's fucking alley. And that whole territory is something that I would certainly -- I mean, everybody loves The Joker. Everybody loves The Joker. Will Smith is a dope guy, but everybody loves The Joker and that's gonna, I think, be a very important film for fans... There's a very practical element as to why I've missed out on that foray, which is because Alejandro [G. Inarritu] has overshot by three months in Calgary, so we've got to go back out to Patagonia or Alaska to continue shooting 'The Revenant' which has turned into a much bigger beast than we thought, but that also looks exceptional."
