COMIC REEL: Bruhl Confirms “Captain America: Civil War” Role; Marvel’s Spider-Man Gets Possible Working Title

In an interview with the Independent, Daniel Bruhl confirmed that he is playing Baron Zemo in “Civil War” — although he did so with hesitation.

When asked if he is playing Zemo, Bruhl replied, “I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison…” The actor also commented on the film’s budget and predicted how he might feel when he steps on set in a few weeks. “For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.”

ABC has released photos from the upcoming 20th episode of “S.H.I.E.L.D.’s” second season, which is titled “Scars.”

Variety has reported that the sequel has opened in 44 territories and earned $201.2 million in it’s opening weekend overseas. It opened at the top of the box office everywhere it debuted, which includes France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Korea and Australia. Initial estimates for the international opening were between $160 and $175 million.

Marvel has released a clip from the film containing the Maximoff twins’ first encounter with Ultron.

If you’re still craving more “AOU” clips, check out these two starring Thor and Hawkeye.

There are also a few more TV spots — both international and domestic — for the film.

ScreenCrush has learned that “Age of Ultron” will receive both an extended cut and alternate ending when it arrives on Blu-ray. The reveal comes from an email announcement urging fans to pre-order the item.

Over the weekend, Fox updated the official website for “Fantastic Four” to include bios that shed light on the foursome’s powers. For instance, instead of just stretching, Reed Richards’ “can warp the space around him, and appear to stretch his body into impossible forms and to incredible lengths.”

Latino Review’s Umberto Gonzalez has posted a new rumor stating that Spider-Man’s first Marvel Studios film has the working title “Spider-Man: The New Avenger.”

Director Bryan Singer took to Twitter this morning to reveal Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler look. The video shows a still image of Smit-McPhee in his Nightcrawler duds teleporting into and out of frame.

A piece of the film’s set has been posted online via the film’s screenwriter and producer, Simon Kinberg. The photo plays up the film’s ’80s setting by depicting a movie theater marquee advertising a screening of 1983’s “Return of the Jedi.”

This photo is part of a larger 1980s shopping mall set that has been constructed for the film, pictures of which have been uploaded to Imgur.
