AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

While speaking with Collider, Josh Brolin spoke about his decision to take on the role of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"It's actually great and it's one of those decisions where when I made the decision, it wasn't a difficult decision," said Brolin ."Because Kevin Feige and Louis D'Esposito are so smart at using Benny [Del Toro] for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' as The Collector, and I thought it was so good. That kind of thing. It's like, 'Yes, I absolutely want to do this.'"

He did speak about the character himself some, saying, "It's the type of character where it's him against all of the Avengers, which is fantastic in itself, but doing it is a very different type of acting. So I was a little nervous in the beginning."

Brolin also spoke about the first time he realized the responsibility of playing the character.

"It wasn't until I was doing this movie ['Sicario'], I walked into a comic book store in Albuquerque and I saw a guy who recognized me as Thanos, who basically had a minor stroke, and I was afraid because his reaction was so severe," said Brolin. "More severe than I've ever seen any reaction to any actor or somebody recognizable, and I realized Thanos was his life. Thanos was his savior. The whole thing was his -- it's like he woke up in the morning swallowed and ate these words in these comic books. So it means a lot. I get the responsibility and I take it with great care."

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

The Toronto Sun spoke about the new Alfred, Jeremy Irons, about his take on the iconic butler.

"Zack Snyder, the director, wanted to create a completely different Alfred," said Irons. "So I felt I didn't have to carry any baggage from previous ones. It's sort of a reincarnation if you'd like. I had a feeling I was creating my own Alfred, more of a man who can actually do anything if he has to."

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Hold off on your petitions for a Scarlet Witch solo movie, Elizabeth Olsen fans; the actress told Business Insider what she really thinks about Wanda Maximoff's chances for a standalone adventure.

"I'm not sure, honestly," said Olsen of the need for a solo Scarlet Witch movie. "I love my character, I just don't know how that would fit in the whole Marvel universe or if it would even be necessary." She later added with a laugh that "the pressure of a tentpole movie on my shoulders doesn't feel comfortable."

She also spoke about her shooting schedule with Marvel now that "Civil War" has wrapped. "The good thing about Marvel is they have so many other things going on that they have to plan their year so specifically," said Olsen. "I already know my block of time for them for the next year, and I have a lot of time until then, so I'm in a position right now where I'm trying to find another film like 'I Saw The Light.'"

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Following Heroic Hollywood's string of "Man of Steel 2" rumors, Birth.Movies.Death has posted what they've been hearing from their unnamed sources regarding the film and what it means for the upcoming "Justice League" two-parter.

I trust El Mayimbe's sources, but I suspect that a lot of this stuff is scrapped now, especially as every whisper I hear about "Justice League" contains the word "Brainiac." I suspect elements of this story were cannibalized for the eventual team-up as well as "BvS," whose main physical threat is, I believe, a cross between traditional Bizarro and another well-known Superman villain.

LUKE CAGE

In an interview/announcement with Marvel.com, Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb and "Luke Cage" showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker spoke about the show's new cast additions.

"We know fans have waited years to see Misty Knight brought to life, so we had to find the right actress," explained Loeb. "Simone blew us away with her performance as the strong-willed cop on a mission."

Coker also weighed in on Theo Rossi's character, Shades. "Theo Rossi is a swiss army knife -- no matter what you bring to him, he has a tool for it -- and he's playfully unpredictable.. His Shades will be someone you hate to love."

"Frank Whaley has a wiry intensity that he's imbued in Det. Rafael Scarfe," Coker added. "He's a great counterpart to Misty, and a wonderful actor."
