CAPTAIN MARVEL

MTV talked to Emily Blunt at TIFF over the weekend, asking the actress about rumors that she will play Captain Marvel.

"It's crazy," said Blunt. "I've not had a phone call about it. Not one whisper of Captain Marvel has come my way. Promise... Promise promise. I don't even know who Captain Marvel is!"

ARROW

"Arrow" EP Marc Guggenheim spoke to Superhero Hype about the upcoming guest appearance by Matt Ryan's Constantine.

"When you see him in the show, honestly it feels like we're doing a 'Constantine'/'Arrow' crossover, and it's so exciting," said Guggenheim. "We're just really glad we got the chance to extend Matt Ryan's run as Constantine by at least one more hour of television. I think you'll see he fits very neatly into our universe. It never feels forced, it feels right. Stephen's on screen vibe with Matt is just very natural, it's as if these guys had been working together forever. I think people are really going to love the episode. John Badham ('WarGames,' 'Saturday Night Fever') directed it and it was just a happy circumstance, but John had also directed an episode of 'Constantine.' It all works and it works really effortlessly. It worked effortlessly with a lot of effort I should say. I can't wait for people to see that episode, if you thought it was a thrill just to see that one shot of Matt in the trailer wait til you see a whole episode with him."

Katie Cassidy, who plays Laurel "Black Canary" Lance on "Arrow," talked to ComicBook.com about her character's arc on the upcoming season.

"You'll definitely see Laurel a lot more polished, and good at being a quote-unquote superhero," said Cassidy. "Obviously last season, she was a fighter, she's always been a fighter, but it was a lot more heart. This season, I think it's not just heart; she actually has been training and working on that aspect of herself, the going out at night. It's also been a big role to take on, along with Felicity and Diggle, to take Oliver's position, I think. Whether or not they're capable of doing that, you'll have to watch season four, but I definitely think Laurel will play a big part on influencing the creation of [spinoff series] 'Legends [of Tomorrow].'"

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Superhero Hype spoke with Josh Brolin about when we will get to see Thanos play a major role in a Marvel movie, and if it'll happen before the two-part "Infinity War."

"I do know, but I don't know," said a cagey Brolin. "I think it's going to be fairly soon, and I know it's going to be good. I'm very very pleased about that whole trajectory and all the possibilities. I've talked to Kevin Feige about it and Louis D'Esposito and it's good."

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

While at the Toronto International Film Festival, "Martian" star Matt Damon talked to MTV about his buddy Ben Affleck and his upcoming turn as Batman. Damon revealed that even he hasn't heard Affleck's Batman voice.

"I haven't heard the Batman voice yet!" said Damon. "I talked to him about it. It was a big decision. He knew what the stakes were. Once he was able to get Chris Terrio to write the script, I think that made the decision for him. Chris is a fantastic writer and Ben really liked Zack [Snyder], who's directing, and it was like, 'well, I've got all the pieces that are necessary.'"

Damon added that Affleck has packed on considerable muscle mass for the role. "He put on like 30 pounds, which took him like nine months," said Damon. "He put on like 30 pounds of muscle, which is really not easy to do. You've gotta eat a lot. You've gotta be an omnivore. Or just greedy."

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Sebastian Stan, who plays Captain America's sidekick-turned-adversary Bucky, spoke to We Got This Covered and gave his thoughts on whether or not he wants to see his character take up the patriotic mantle, as he did in the comics.

"No, I really wouldn't," said Stan. "Let me tell you, I think about that every day... It's so not up to me to be honest. I really enjoy my job over there, I'm really happy going to work and doing what I do. I love the character that I have. It's up to a lot of different things and whatever Marvel decides, I'm game." Stan added that fans should expect "brutal fighting" and "serious fighting like we haven't seen before in any other film" when it comes to "Civil War," in addition to character and heart.

MTV also caught up with Stan's "Civil War" co-star Elizabeth Olsen, who will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch. After the events of "Age of Ultron," Olsen talked about where "Civil War" finds Wanda Maximoff.

"She's okay," said Olsen. "She's doing alright. She's confused, she's conflicted. She's found some people she thinks she connects with, but she's doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn't there. She's always the wild card. I like being the wild card."

IZOMBIE

ComicBook.com has an interview with "iZombie" star Rose McIver wherein she talks about where season one left off and where season two is headed.

"When we got the finale, I just remember all of us cast sitting around page-turning as quickly as possible and just in shock," said McIver. "When I finished, I just ran to the writers and said, 'Okay, so what happens in Season Two?' And they were like, 'Hang on, we haven't even been renewed yet,' but I was like 'Okay, but I need to know!'

"We pick up a few months later and so decisions have been made," continued McIver. "Lives have been lost or lived through, and so it's going to be...Liv's world have changed a lot. A lot of people who mattered to her in her life know, and whether they accept her or don't accept her is going to really shift a lot of the dynamics for Season Two."

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

ComicBook.com has a round-up of images posted by Vandal Savage actor Casper Crump as he preps for the role.

SPIDER-MAN

In a quick interview with Cinema Blend, Drew Goddard discussed his lack of involvement in Marvel's Spider-Man franchise despite being a Sony favorite for their now canceled lineup of films.

"I mean, I think that's more a question for them, but here's the good news. I've worked with Marvel a lot. The way that Marvel sort of works is they say, 'Hey, do you have an idea for... Here's the movies we're thinking about making...' They sort of tell the world what they're thinking of making, and they sort of put out there, if you have an idea for any of these, come talk to us.

"And I think, with Spider-Man, I didn't really have an idea," continued Goddard. "Part of that might have just been because I had just written one. I spent a year working on 'Sinister Six,' and I think I was like in a head space where I just didn't... you know, it's very hard to say, 'Ok, now write a new movie.' So, it never got that far. We never, it never got taken that far. They know how much respect I have for them. They've been very nice to me over the years, and I know sooner or later, we're going to find the right project. It's all about timing."
