As if Comic-Con International couldn't get super-sized any further, in walks Morgan Spurlock.
The Super-Size Me documentarian is teaming up with executive producers Joss Whedon, Stan Lee and Harry Knowles to direct Comic-Con Episode Four: A Fan's Hope, a documentary that takes a look at the annual event held each year in San Diego — although certain parties are hoping to relocate the convention.
In February, rumors circulated about the Comic-Con documentary suggesting Whedon and Spurlock's involvement. The addition of Ain't It Cool News webmaster Knowles and Marvel Comics icon Lee is news to me, however.
"When I was a kid, comics changed my life and my world," Spurlock said. "So when I got to San Diego, I felt like I was home. It was such an overwhelming experience for me, and I soon found out that I was not alone. So for me to get to share the experience of Comic-Con with fans all over the world will be an incredible opportunity."
The documentary will follow seven fans from across the world as they make their way to Comic-Con. Shooting begins in June and wraps at the convention in mid-July.
