Reader Juan asked a pretty straightforward question - has the Hulk ever lifted Thor's hammer?
Read on to see!
The Hulk first tried to pick up Thor's hammer in Avengers #3 (by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Paul Reinman)...
Later, in Journey Into Mystery #112 (by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Chic Stone), Lee and Kirby retconned in an additional Hulk/Thor fight to that issue of Avengers.
While there, Odin removed the enchantment from Thor's hammer and the Hulk was therefore able to lift it...
So if you just want ANY example, then I suppose this would count, right?
In a very misunderstood moment in Incredible Hulk #227 (by Roger Stern, Peter Gillis, Sal Buscema and Klaus Janson), the Hulk DREAMS about destroying Thor's hammer. It didn't actually happen.
In Incredible Hulk #422 (by Peter David, Gary Frank and Cam Smith), Hulk cannot hold Red Norvell's hammer, either (it is a different enchanted uru hammer made by Odin)...
Okay, so so far, besides the time the hammer was no longer enchanted, the Hulk hasn't had much luck. However, if you go to the next page, you'll discover something that will allow Hulk to wield Thor's hammer....LOOPHOLES!!!
