All throughout July, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs" a day. An easter egg is an in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far!

No wonder Twin Peaks took so long to resolve its plots...it was tied into mutant comics!

In X-Factor #71, Valerie Cooper casually mentions her brother, who works for the FBI...

Of course, she is referring to Dale Cooper, from TV's Twin Peaks, played by Kyle MacLachlan...

Cool stuff. Thanks to Tim B. for the e-mail suggestion!

Cable: Life on the Streets

In Cable #33, Jeph Loeb has an awesome little cameo of Frank Pembleton and Tim Bayless from the nifty TV series, Homicide: Life on the Street...

Mo' Cameos!

Philip Tan is from the Philippines. He pays tribute to his country and a popular radio show by sneaking TWO easter eggs into two separate issues of Batman and Robin. The show is called "Good Times With Mo."

First, in Batman and Robin #4, Tan puts up a billboard for the show...

In #5, Mo himself shows up as a talk show interviewer...

That's a loyal listener right there!

Thanks to Ejay P for the e-mail suggestion!

If you can think of an easter egg/in-joke that you would like to see me feature, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com! DON'T make suggestions in the comments section, so as to not spoil the surprise for when I end up actually featuring your suggestion.
