In this feature, I share with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

Today is a special theme edition. All cameos by Star Wars characters! Including the recent awesome Infinity #1 cameos!

In the past, I've had two separate editions where I've featured Easter Eggs FROM Star Wars Comics. Here is the first and here is the second. Now I'm looking at cameos from Star Wars characters in OTHER comic books. Do note that I freely acknowledge that there are more examples of Star Wars cameos than just what I am featuring here. If you have a suggestion for a cameo that I didn't mention here, just e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com and I'll feature them in a future edition of Comic Book Easter Eggs.

One of the most suggested Easter Egg I've had is this bit by Jim Starlin in Dreadstar #12, where four of Dreadstar's rebel comrades (Willow, Oedi, Syzygy and Skeevo) decide to use a spell to disguise themselves so as to avoid detection. Their choice of disguise is quite humorous...

This one was suggested by Darren R. (who also supplied the scan I'm using), Nick Marino and Lee S.

Next we take a look at Jonathan Hickman, Jimmy Cheung and Mark Morales' recent Infinity #1, which featured first Luke Skywalker on Galador...

and then Darth Vader with Thanos' men...

Finally, as suggested by Brannigan C., we have Punisher #17, where Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson have Wolverine and the Punisher besieged by an army of little people (I'll be addressing Punisher #16-17 at some other point in another column). Mixed among the little people is an Ewok...

Here are two details of the Ewok in the first panel...

and the second...

Okay, that's it for this week! Thanks for the suggestions, folks! If anyone else has any suggestions for future editions of Comic Book Easter Eggs, please drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com
