Every week, I will be sharing with you comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

This week features easter eggs from Thom Zahler's charming Love and Capes comic book, about the everyday lives of a couple named Mark and Abby, who recently married after dating for a long time. Abby owns a book store and Mark, oh, he is just Crusader, one of the most famous superheroes in the world.

A recurring easter egg in Love and Capes is books by Richard Castle, the protagonist of ABC's Castle (as played by Nathan Fillion)...

That same issue (Love and Capes Ever After #1) has a Lost reference, as they are flying Oceanic Airlines...

Issue #4 of the original series has a cameo by Gus and Shawn of the TV series Psych...

The same issue has a cute reference to Box Canyon, the place where the Lone Ranger was born (John Reid's fellow Texas Rangers, including his brother, were killed when they were all ambushed at Box Canyon - John survived and became the Lone Ranger)...

Finally, the greatest easter egg of all, the appearance of a certain awesome book that you all should buy in Love and Capes Ever After #1 (click on the image to enlarge)....
