Every week, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke

that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

This week, all the easter eggs are from comic book covers!

Enjoy!

First up, the first of two covers that Aaron Poehler featured at his site a few years back.

Here is Bill Willingham's cover to Elementals #7, featuring cameos from a ton of comic characters, including the Phantom, Calvin and Hobbes, Superman and much, much more!

Next, based on a suggestion from Rob S., we have Nexus #14, where Steve Rude has hidden Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk on the cover of the issue...

Finally, the second of two covers from Aaron Poehler, we have Darick Robertson's The Boys #7, where Robertson has hid a reference to the classic Monty Python "Bicycle Repairman" sketch on the cover of one of the issues in the background. Can you find it?
