Every week, I will be sharing with you three comic book "easter eggs." An easter egg is a joke/visual gag/in-joke that a comic book creator (typically the artist) has hidden in the pages of the comic for readers to find (just like an easter egg). They range from the not-so-obscure to the really obscure. So come check 'em all out and enjoy! Also, click here for an archive of all the easter eggs featured so far! If you want to suggest an easter egg for a future column, e-mail me at bcronin@comicbookresources.com (do not post your suggestion in the comments section!).

This week, all the easter eggs are from comics that came out recently!

Enjoy!

Reader Pitr noted this cool bit in the latest issue of Wonder Woman by writer Brian Azzarello, there is a character who can sort of hear anything that is said in the world through her wind powers (as words are "carried on the wind").

Well, notice one of the many pieces of dialogues references a briefcase containing "one hundred" and it cuts off. That is the premise of Azzarello's classic Vertigo series, 100 Bullets, that a man comes to people and offers them proof that a certain person ruined their lives and a case of one hundred untraceable bullets.

Neat bit!

Next, in the most recent issue of Daredevil: End of Days, Alex Maleev did the main cover, which features two familiar looking cops meeting Elektra.

The cops, of course, are designed to look like Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, respectively.

Finally, reader Shawn pointed out this neat bit in Secret Avengers #34 where artist Matteo Scalera paid tribute to Sean Murphy's great series, Punk Rock Jesus, by featuring Chris Fairling and the Flak Jackets (the clone of Jesus Christ and the punk band he joins) from the series.

Awesome stuff, everyone! Thanks for the great suggestions!
