Grey DeLisle is one of America's most prolific voice actors. Some of her most famous roles include Princess Azula on Avatar: The Last Airbender, Daphne Blake in countless iterations of Scooby Doo, and Mandy on The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy.

The variety of those aforementioned roles should give an indication of DeLisle's range, as should the volume of different comic characters she's played in various animated adaptations over the years. From all her performances, it's difficult to find the very best.

10 Black Cat In Marvel's Spider-Man

BLACK CAT APPEARANCES - Marvels Spider-Man 2017

The Black Cat is one of Spider-Man's only foes who can match him in contests of agility and wits. Aside from the Green Goblin, she's Spider-Man's sassiest foe. She's also the only one who has seduction in her arsenal of anti-Spider weapons.

DeLisle can voice sass and seduction excellently, and her playing Black Cat in Marvel's Spider-Man was a natural fit. Owing to the show's younger target audience, her voice acting is less sensual than Tricia Helfer's Black Cat was in The Spectacular Spider-Man. DeLisle's performance was fantastic.

9 Wasp In Ultimate Avengers

Ultimates Movie Wasp

DeLisle got a chance to play an unquestionably heroic character when she voiced Janet Van Dyne/The Wasp in the Ultimate Avengers filmsUltimate Avengers was loosely adapted from Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch's The Ultimates.

Wasp was already one of the most sympathetic characters in the source material, and the film adaptation is a good deal lighter than the comic. DeLisle's moment in the sun comes at the end of Ultimate Avengers 2, when Wasp breaks down in tears after her husband Giant Man gives his life to save the day.

8 Monster Girl In Invincible

Invincible Monster Girl

Not all of DeLisle's comic characters originate in the Marvel or DC universes. In Invincible, she voices Amanda/Monster Girl, a character who asks "What if the Hulk was really a 12-year-old girl?" Granted, DeLisle only voices Amanda's natural pre-teen self.

When Amanda transforms into the "monster" side of her persona, Kevin Michael Richardson takes over. Invincible's TV-MA rating allows DeLisle the chance to cut lose with language in a way she never can in most of her roles. If fans have seen her stand-up comedy act, they know DeLisle has a way with curse words.

7 Big Barda In Young Justice

YJ BArda Vs Superman

DeLisle voices plenty of characters on Young Justice, but her most unique performance thus far is Big Barda. Barda debuted in Young Justice's third season, Outsiders. Unlike most versions, the character has not yet undergone her heel-face turn.

She's still the bloodthirsty leader of the Furies, her first line is: "Hail Granny Goodness, Hail Darkseid!" DeLisle gives Barda a much deeper voice than she does most of her characters, but one that totally fits Barda's tall, brawny physique and headstrong disposition.

6 Captain Marvel In Avengers Assemble And More

Captain Marvel Avengers Assemble

DeLisle has become the most prolific voice actress for Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. After initially voicing Carol in the pre-school parody series The Super Hero Squad Show, she got a chance at a more straightforward iteration of Captain Marvel in Avengers Assemble.

Similar to Big Barda, Carol is a more masculine character than DeLisle typically plays. She uses a similar voice for the two characters. Barda is aggressive, headstrong, and even a bit sadistic. Carol is confident and unafraid to show it.

5 Morgan Le Fay In Avengers Assemble

10 Facts You Didn’t Know About Marvel’s Morgan le Fay 5

On Avengers Assemble, DeLisle got to voice Morgan Le Fay - the witch of Arthurian legend and frequent foe of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Compared to Captain Marvel, Le Fay is definitely a role more in DeLisle's wheelhouse. Between her haughty taunts and deliciously evil cackle, Le Fay is a role that DeLisle is usually typecast as. For Morgan Le Fay, DeLisle affects an upper-air British accent, reflecting the character's roots in the myths of Camelot.

4 Wonder Woman In DC Superhero Girls

Wonder Woman DC Superhero Girls

DC Superhero Girls isn't a typical superhero cartoon. It's targeted towards young girls. Its cast of characters are more concerned with school drama at Metropolis High than thwarting super-villainy. Wonder Woman is one of the lead characters, and DeLisle voices her.

Despite Superhero Girls' comedic tone, DeLisle performs with a firm, powerful voice that broadcasts Diana's authority and care all in one. She hasn't gotten a chance to voice Wonder Woman in a more serious context (only in DC Superhero Girls and some animated Lego shorts). She could definitely do it well if given the opportunity.

3 Black Canary In Batman: The Brave And The Bold

In addition to voice acting, DeLisle is also a trained singer with six albums to her name. When she voiced Black Canary on Batman: The Brave And The Bold, she got to bring her talents together. In musical episode Mayhem Of The Music Meister, DeLisle was easily the actor best skilled at bolting out lyrics next to guest star Neil Patrick Harris.

DeLisle had two songs - the solo Death Trap, and If Only, a duet with Harris. She later sang in The Mask Of Matches Malone alongside Tara Strong (as the Huntress) and Nika Futterman (as Catwoman).

2 Sally Avril In The Spectacular Spider-Man

Sally Avril

To fill out its high school supporting cast, Spectacular Spider-Man elevated several minor characters from the comics. One of them was Sally Avril. Far from her comics counterpart, the mutant vigilante Bluebird, Sally fit the stereotypical cheerleader trope. Mean, vapid, not too bright, and blonde.

DeLisle played the role perfectly, giving Sally a thick New York accent and displayed her obnoxiousness. Her shining moment is when she she cheers lines from Hamlet as part of a theater audition.

1 Catwoman In Arkham City/Knight, Injustice, And Gotham By Gaslight

Catwoman Arkham By Gaslight

Before her turn as Black Cat, DeLisle voiced DC's even more famous feline-themed villainess. Debuting as Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Batman: Arkham City, DeLisle's performance was like phenomenal. DeLisle would go on to reprise Selina in Batman: Arkham Knight and Injustice I & II.

In Gotham By Gaslight, that showed a 19th century Gotham City, Selina has a daytime gig as a singing cabaret girl. DeLisle voiced Selina in the singing portions of Gotham By Gaslight, the rest performed by Jennifer Carpenter.
