It was recently announced that Brazilian comic book colorist and graphic designer Diego do Nascimento Lima, also known as Dijjo Lima, has died at the age of 34.

On social media, fellow artist Mike Deodato Jr. confirmed, "I just heard this great colorist and teacher has died. My condolences to his family, friends and students." Information later surfaced suggesting Lima was walking his dog when he began to feel ill. He was taken to Emergency Care, where he suffered a pulmonary embolism and cardiac arrest. While medical professionals were able to revive Lima, he suffered a second cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

Lima's work as a colorist spans over 100 comic book titles for a number of publishers, such as Marvel, Titan Comics, Zenescope Entertainment, Dynamite Entertainment and more. His works include Carnage, Amazing Spider-Man, Doctor Who: Ghost Stories, Torchwood and Battlestar Galactica, among others, several of which have made it into top 10 best sellers lists.

His most recently completed artwork was released at Motor City Comic-Con, which ran from May 13-15. The artwork depicts Nightwing, Red Hood, Starfire and Hawk in front of Titan Tower. Lima celebrated its release on social media with fans, writing, "Today the art is being released in partnership with the incredible [Joe Prado] for the Motor City Comic-Con event."
