Prepare to visit the Lost Boys and go down the rabbit hole once again with a new Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland prequel titled Come Away.

The film reimagines the lead characters from J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as brother and sister, then sends them off on a fantasy adventure.

According to Deadline, Angelina Jolie and David Oyelowo are in talks to play the parents in the film, which marks the live-action debut of director Branda Chapman, best known for Pixar's Brave.

Written by Marissa Kate Goodhill, Come Away is produced by Fred Films and Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon Productions. Filming is scheduled to start in England before moving to Los Angeles, but with Jolie shooting Disney's Maleficent 2, she isn't expected to start on Come Away until this fall.

While both Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan have been adapted many times before, both are fondly remembered as Disney animated classic. Although the tales have also been frequently told in live-action, Come Away will have a darker storyline.

Following the death of Peter and Alice's older brother, Come Away follows the pair's attempts to help their mourning parents. However, as the creative children slip further into their realms of imagination, they must choose between fact and fiction. Set before their respective trips to Neverland and Wonderland, Come Away will put the pieces in place for how the childhood favorites get there in the end.
