Actress Anne Hathaway has taken on a diverse array of roles, from Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Returns" to long-suffering scientist Dr. Brand in "Interstellar," but her latest role in "Colossal" might be her biggest yet -- literally.

The first full trailer for the Voltage Pictures-produced "Colossal" was posted Thursday to the movie's Twitter account. The film stars Hathaway as Gloria, a 20-something living in New York City going through a rough patch. Bad goes to worse when a massive kaiju materializes across the world and starts attacking Seoul, Korea. Hathaway is a passive observer to the carnage -- until she realizes she can control the monster, down to its dance moves.

“Colossal” is written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, best known as the writer of “Timecrimes” and “Open Windows.” The film also stars "Legion" star Dan Stevens as Tim, Gloria’s ex-boyfriend, and Jason Sudeikis as Gloria’s childhood friend, Oscar. Simon Pegg makes a cameo in the film.

"Colossal" made its world premiere last September at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, and is scheduled for domestic release on April 7.
