Coens Nab Sucker Punch Star Oscar Isaac for '60s Folk Film

Joel and Ethan Coen are busy working on their next movie Inside Llewellyn Davis, which covers the 1960s folk-music scene in New York's Greenwich Village. Shooting is set to begin in the Big Apple early next year, presumably with a late 2012 release as the goal. The casting process has started in earnest, and Deadline reports the Coens have found their lead: Oscar Isaac.

Isaac appeared most recently in the Ryan Gosling-starring muscle car-fueled action flick Drive. I know him best from Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, in which he played the devious orderly/brothel boss/all-around-lousy dude Blue. He sang his ass off on that soundtrack, though, on "Love is the Drug."
