disney-pixar is expected to triumph over warner bros. at the thanksgiving holiday box office, as coco is set to dethrone the dc comics-based team-up film justice league.

according to early estimates for this weekend at the domestic box office, coco will finish around $70 million by sunday, while justice league will fall to $60 million, after clinching a box office victory its first weekend. while justice league underperformed, it seems coco will exceed expectations, as it was originally set to make somewhere in the $55-60 million range.

on wednesday, thanksgiving's eve, coco raked in $13 million, while justice league fell short, at $10.5 million. the zack snyder-directed film has a six-day domestic total of $122.4 million; it's made over $307 million worldwide, so far. the film will reportedly lose warner bros. $50-$100 million.
