WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Season 4 of Cobra Kai, streaming now on Netflix.

In Netflix's Cobra Kai, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggled to patch his turbulent past with Johnny (William Zabka). They did try to merge their Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos respectively, but their hatred for each other crushed those hopes. Season 4 brought their feud to a head at the All-Valley Karate Tournament in Los Angeles once more, but as things concluded, thanks to the presence of other sinister rivals, there was a lot of drama that produced a major betrayal and a shocking new alliance that'll change the landscape big time.

Hawk had to dig deep this season after sticking with Daniel, realizing his haircut wasn't his strength. The Cobra Kai bullies cut his mohawk but spurred on by reuniting with his ex, Moon, Hawk accepted his identity as Eli, the geek of old. It culminated in a brutal semi-final showdown where Miguel forfeited after aggravating his old back injury following Season 2's school brawl.

Hawk ended up facing Robby in the final, with Terry Silver urging Johnny's son to be more cutthroat. However, after going into sudden death, and clearly dealing with a crisis of conscience, Robby couldn't fight nasty. It allowed Eli, who drastically improved, using Miyagi's methods of peace to win, teaching Robby that Cobra Kai's methods weren't the best.

This set the stage for Tory to fight Daniel's daughter, Sam, but before the brawl, Amanda (Sam's mom), begged Tory to fight fair. She'd been trying to help Tory all season long after realizing the bully had family problems, and was actually glad she made progress. As such, Tory fights fair and square, but Sam mixed up her teachings from both Johnny and Daniel to create a new brand of aggression and defense.

It united Daniel and Johnny, but Tory's accidental elbow blurred Sam's vision in one eye, leaving Johnny angry that the ref didn't dock a point. He'd already been screaming over a possible infringement where the ref didn't score a hit from Sam, deeming Tory off the mat when it occurred. With the scores tied, Terry urged Tory to capitalize and fight dirty, but Kreese, realizing how this hurt Johnny back in the day, told her to fight how she felt. It led to Tory striking the winning blow, giving Cobra Kai the overall team win.

What Happened to Johnny's Boys in Season 4 of Cobra Kai?

After the fight, Carmen revealed Miguel left the arena, which led to her and Johnny finding a letter at home. Miguel wasn't into karate anymore so he took a bus to Mexico City to find his real dad. Carmen admitted the man didn't know Miguel existed, so Johnny vowed to get the kid back as he knew it could be dangerous out there.

Johnny did resolve one issue, though, because when he went to Cobra Kai's dojo to confront Kreese and Terry, he found they already moved. Robby followed him, however, admitting he had to let go of the hate and blame as he knew Johnny wasn't why he was becoming a monster. Robby's apprentice, Kenny, was turning into a rage-filled beast so he could tell it was transferring from him and Cobra Kai, which caused the father and son to embrace at last, seemingly mending fences.

Terry ended the season on a truly villainous note, with Tory spying in and discovering he bribed the ref in the finals. It's why she got so many accommodations, with the audience and other teams none the wiser. She ended up looking at her trophy in derision, wondering what's the next move as this invalidated the win.

To cap it off, back at his mansion, as Terry and Kreese celebrated with drinks, the latter admitted he hated seeing Kreese show sympathy. More so, Terry confessed, since Kreese saved him in Vietnam, Kreese has been his weakness, which is why after beating up Stingray, Terry got the guy to lie and say Kreese did it. The cops arrived and took Kreese in for attempted murder, leaving Terry to shape the dojo his way.

However, things concluded on a note of hope with Daniel at Miyagi's grave, vowing not to shut down, but to evolve. He recruited his old rival from The Karate Kid II, Chozen, to chart a new style for his charges. This was seeded last season as both put their differences aside, leaving Daniel eager to take the Valley back as Chozen knows secrets from Miyagi-Do that only the Japanese had access to.
