Cobra Kai is back in the game.

Netflix's Karate Kid sequel series has begun production on its fourth season. "There's no more time for training," a post on the official Cobra Kai Twitter page reads. "Season 4 is officially underway." What's more, an attached image features the script for Season 4's premiere episode, revealing that it will be titled "Let's Begin."

Cobra Kai is set 34 years after the events of the 1984 film The Karate Kid. The series originally premiered on YouTube Premium (then known as YouTube Red) on May 2, 2018, with Season 2 arriving on the platform on April 24, 2019. Following critical acclaim for the first two seasons, YouTube Premium ordered a third. However, YouTube then agreed to release the series after informing its production company, Sony Pictures Television, that it would not be ordering any additional seasons.

Netflix won a bidding war for Cobra Kai in June of 2020, with Seasons 1 and 2 arriving on the platform in August. In October, Netflix revealed the Season 3 premiere date and immediately renewed the show for Season 4. Cobra Kai Season 3 was originally slated to premiere on Netflix on Jan. 8 of this year, but actually arrived on week early, arriving on New Year's Day instead. Seeing as how Season 4 has only just begun production, it is unclear when it will hit Netflix. That said, series co-creator Jon Hurwitz expects it to arrive roughly one year after Season 3's premiere, meaning fans can likely expect Season 4 to premiere around January of 2022.
