The first images for Season 3 of Cobra Kai are here, and they're showing no mercy for the members of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do alike.

Released by Entertainment Weekly, these photos hint at an intense fallout from Season 2's finale, which saw season-long tensions between students from Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do erupt into a school-wide karate brawl. On the Miyagi-Do side of things, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) can be seen with his wife Amanda (Courtney Henggeler) in what looks like a school office and sharing an uncomfortable moment with his daughter Samantha (Mary Mouser), while his student Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) -- also Johnny Lawrence's estranged son -- is stuck in a correction facility after inadvertently hospitalizing Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) during their fight.

The Cobra Kai-centric photos, by comparison, show Johnny (William Zabka) visiting Miguel in the hospital and speaking to his unconscious body. However, another image hints at trouble for both Johnny and Daniel as John Kreese (Martin Kove) trains his students in the Cobra Kai dojo, having secretly taken legal ownership over the dojo without Johnny's realization and, by extension, reclaimed his old business.

Season 3's storyline will build upon Cobra Kai's ongoing feuds and rivalries formed between Johnny, Daniel and their respective students across the previous two seasons. The high school brawl, in particular, ultimately came as a result of its romantic melodrama, with Miguel's Cobra Kai girlfriend Tory (Peyton List) seeking a fight with Samantha after she drunkenly kissed Miguel at a house party despite being with Robby at the time, thus adding to their mutual hatred. This also extends to the fractured dynamic between Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) and Dimitri (Gianni Decenzo), with the latter joining Miyagi-Do in Season 2 to protect himself from his former friend as Hawk began embracing Cobra Kai's "no mercy" mantra.

Cobra Kai stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Peyton List and Martin Kove. Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix. Season 3 premieres on Jan. 8, 2021.
