The acclaimed Karate Kid revival series Cobra Kai is coming to Netflix, and a new trailer highlights the classic rivalry between main characters Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence as it continues on to the present day.

Featuring clips from the fan-favorite 1984 original film, the trailer shows Daniel and Johnny still contending with their martial arts legacies decades later as they raise kids of their own. Each decides to start their own karate dojos, with their students entering their own hard-hitting feuds.

The trailer concludes with the official announcement that Season 3 will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2021, with a first look at the upcoming season. As Daniel confronts somebody in an East Asian home, he is effortlessly thrown to the ground before a sai lands precariously close to his face.

While the identity of Daniel's attacker is unseen, the male character will apparently be linked to a deeply held secret from Daniel's mentor and surrogate father figure Mr. Miyagi, with the venerable martial arts master's legacy facing heightened scrutiny as Daniel realizes he didn't know him as well as he thought.
