The characters in Netflix's martial arts drama Cobra Kai are tough, but they don't hold a candle to the original Karate Kid sensei Mr. Miyagi, according to one of the show's creators.Showrunner Michael Schlossberg responded to fans during a Q&A session. When the Cobra Kai creator was asked to rank the top five characters in both brains and brawn. Schlossberg did not take the opportunity to rank five characters in terms of their brawn, instead naming Mr. Miyagi and Master Kim as the two strongest characters and "everyone else much lower."RELATED: Cobra Kai Creators' Plans Now Account For More Than Five Seasons

Schlossberg did, however, name the five Cobra Kai characters that he believes are the smartest. First place was Miyagi-Do's recent recruit Demetri, followed by his best friend-turned-Cobra Kai rival Hawk. Third and fourth place belong to two returning Karate Kid characters, LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence's love interest Ali Mills and upcoming Season 4 rival Silver. The last named Cobra Kai in terms of brains is one the audience has not been introduced to yet: Devon, a character who joined the cast for the upcoming Season 4 played by Oona O'Brien.

Although they are stronger than any other character on Cobra Kai, neither Mr. Miyagi nor Master Kim appear in Netflix's successor to the Karate Kid franchise. Pat Morita, the actor behind Daniel LaRusso's Karate Kid trainer, passed away in 2005 from kidney failure. His character is mentioned throughout Cobra Kai, primarily in Season 3 when LaRusso travels to his hometown of Okinawa, Japan. Interestingly, Master Kim, John Kreese's karate master, has never appeared in any of the entries of the Karate Kid series and is only mentioned by name. He is first mentioned in The Karate Kid Part III by rival Terry Silver who lies about Kreese's death in order to gain LaRusso's trust.

Garfield was clearly emotional during the video and stated at the end, "My body feels like Christmas. Forget Season 4, that like, that's going to keep me going for years."
