After prolific careers in professional wrestling and mixed martial arts, CM Punk's next battle will see the athlete-turned-actor take on a haunted house.

The upcoming independent horror movie Girl on the Third Floor has released its theatrical trailer, with Phil "CM Punk" Brooks portraying a family man trying to fix up a dilapidated house for his growing family. As Brooks' character investigates the inner workings of his new home, it's clear that there's something rotten festering within that's far worse than rusty pipes and faulty wiring.

As the young couple moves into the home, the situation escalates, with visions of a creepy young woman and other bizarre paranormal findings that quickly progress to visceral, gory action.

This marks Brooks' feature film debut, having retired from the WWE in 2014 to transition to a UFC fighter while co-writing several titles for Marvel Comics. The project is produced by Dark Sky Films, the independent film studio behind the acclaimed The House of the Devil.
