A new trailer for Close Enough has been released ahead of the long-gestating adult animated series' premiere on HBO Max next month.

The trailer, which consists almost entirely of footage not seen in the previous one, offers greater insight regarding the characters and their relationship to one another -- such as the living situation between leading married couple Josh and Emily, their daughter Candice and their divorced friends Alex and Bridgette. We also get a look at some of the challenges Josh and Emily face as parents, such as Candice's troubles at school.

The brainchild of J.G. Quintel -- best known as the creator of Cartoon Network's Regular Show -- Close Enough was announced with its debut trailer all the way back during the summer of 2017. The series was originally set to air on TBS as part of the network's animation block, though plans fell through when production on The Cops was halted. This past October, Close Enough was officially rebranded as an HBO Max original, with the series' first episode premiering just a few days ago at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Created by J.G. Quintel, Close Enough premieres on HBO Max July 9. The series stars Quintel, Gabrielle Walsh, Jason Mantzoukas, James Adomian, Kimiko Glenn, Jessica DiCicco, Kelly Ohanian, Jim Cummings, Maurice LaMarche and Jeff Bennett.
