Filming has officially wrapped on the first season of Freeform's upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation, Cloak & Dagger.

Marvel's first teen series has finished filming its first season according to star J.D. Evermore (Rectify). Evermore, who is playing Detective Connors in the series, took to Instagram two days ago to announce that filming was nearing the end, with the final night shoot having taken place on Thursday.

The series was meant to be the first of two Marvel television shows from Freeform, with New Warriors set to debut on the same network in 2018, as well. Unfortunately, things have since changed and while Cloak & Dagger is still set to hit Freeform next year -- possibly in the Spring, if Evermore's replies to fans are anything to go by -- but New Warriors is on the hunt for a new home.

Outside of a trailer that debuted earlier this year and an "activation zone" at New York Comic Con back in October, things have been relatively quiet concerning Cloak & Dagger. That should change soon as the series has now finished production on its first season.

Based on the Marvel Comics characters created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan, Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, as well as Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy’s partner in crime Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors. The series is targeted to premiere in 2018 on the Disney-owned Freeform.
