Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for the "Cloak & Dagger" pilot.

Almost as quickly as it began, filming has wrapped in New Orleans on the pilot for Marvel's "Cloak & Dagger." Director Gina Prince-Bythewood marked the occasion with a pair of photos, one of herself with stars Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt, and the other of the episode's script. It's the latter, of course, that invites closer investigation.

The photo depicts the director's chair and an open binder containing script pages mostly obscured script pages. However, hand-written notes on the bottom of a sheet of page appear to reveal a tragic car accident involving Tandy (Dagger) and her father: "TANDY POV DAD --> air bag (already exploded). Tandy shakes DAD wide and tight * TANDY in frame." Another line ends with the words, "Dad dead."

UPDATE: The photo has been removed from Prince-Bythewood's Instagram page.

The second image is a simple group shot of Holt, Prince-Bythewood and Joseph, accompanied by the caption signaling the end of production on the pilot: "That is a wrap in NOLA! Love these two humans. #oliviaholt and #aubreyjoseph. Can't wait for the world to meet their alter egos. #cloakanddagger #marvel"

The official series synopsis reads:

Described as a superhero love story, Cloak and Dagger is based on the titular comic book duo (also known as Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson) who have appeared in Marvel Comics classics, including Spiderman and X-Men stories. The live-action interracial romance follows the duo, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.

Based on the Marvel Comics characters created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan, “Cloak & Dagger” also stars Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy's partner in crime Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors. The series is targeted to premiere in 2018 on the Disney-owned Freeform.
