SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Ghost Stories," the latest episode of Cloak & Dagger.

Cloak & Dagger just responded to Luke Cage Season 2 with a shout-out of its own. Following the mention of Detective Brigid O'Reilly in the Luke Cage episode “If It Ain’t Rough, It Ain’t Right,” the freshman Freeform series namedropped Harlem's own Detective Misty Knight.

In "Ghost Stories," the latest episode of Cloak & Dagger, Tyrone Johnson outed himself as Cloak to O'Reilly and her boyfriend Officer Fuchs. O'Reilly was noticeably less phased than Fuchs over the revelation, as she made clear in a private conversation they had later on.

"So that kid, and what he can do," Fuchs said, incredulous.

"I'm from New York. I've seen it before. Did I ever tell you about my friend Misty?" she replied, referring to Luke Cage's Misty Knight. Misty, of course, is one of Luke Cage's close friends and his key ally in the New York Police Department. She played a major role in the events of both seasons.

When he said no, she smiled and said, "I'll tell you about her later."

Cloak & Dagger's reference to Luke Cage follows on the heels of Luke Cage's reference to Cloak & Dagger. Midway through Season 2, which released June 22, Misty had a discussion with her coworker Detective Nandi Tyler in which Nandi mentioned O'Reilly. “Inspector West called. Callahan is in Maui, and O’Reilly moved to New Orleans,” she told Misty. “None of them know you quit. West said until One Police Plaza sends somebody else, you’re the highest ranking detective here."

At the time, it seemed likely Nandi was talking about O'Reilly, as Cloak & Dagger takes place in New Orleans. The scene from the latest Cloak & Dagger, however, confirms this to be the case. Between O'Reilly's namedrop on Luke Cage and Misty's namedrop in Cloak & Dagger, Marvel Television proves once again that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all connected.

Airing Thursdays at 8 pm ET/PT on Freeform, Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen/Dagger and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, as well as Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa Bowen, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina Johnson, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael Johnson, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy’s partner in crime Liam, James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo and J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors.
