SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for "Shadow Selves," the latest episode of Cloak & Dagger.

Misty Knight isn't Brigid O'Reilly's only pal from New York City. As she revealed in "Shadow Selves," the latest episode of Cloak & Dagger, she learned a thing or two from New York Bulletin reporter Ben Urich too.

As Brigid, Tandy and Tyrone unraveled the Mayhem mystery, they discovered the anti-hero's lair. There, they found the walls covered with newspaper clippings, missing persons flyers and notes, all connected by red string -- but that wasn't all. Brigid also noticed some playing cards that had been marked up in a familiar way.

"When I was undercover, I kept case notes on playing cards," she explained, laying them out on a table. "I learned it from this reporter in New York. But the order didn't make sense until I remembered this old card trick my dad taught me."

The reporter Brigid refers to here is, of course, Ben Urich. Urich was a major player in Daredevil Season 1. The investigative journalist worked to uncover Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk's master plan. When Karen Page went to visit Fisk's mother at a nursing home, she caught his attention; worse, she inadvertently brought Fisk to Urich's door. Urich would ultimately die by Fisk's hand, but not before he showed off his playing card trick. In "Condemned," the sixth episode, Urich used playing cards to map out the crime rings of Hell's Kitchen.

As established in Season 1, Brigid transferred to New Orleans from New York. "I'm from New York. I've seen it before. Did I ever tell you about my friend Misty?" she told her late boyfriend Officer Fuchs last year, referring to Luke Cage's Misty Knight. As Marvel Netflix fans are well aware, Misty is one of Luke Cage's close friends and his key ally in the New York Police Department. She played a major role in the events of both seasons.

Now, Cloak & Dagger has expanded Brigid's network of established Marvel Television characters. Per "Shadow Selves," it appears she found an ally in Urich when she was a member of the NYPD. She finds herself in good company; after all, Urich had a few run-ins with Daredevil as well.
