During Comic-Con International in San Diego, it was announced that Marvel's Cloak & Dagger television series was renewed for Season 2. But that's not the only big announcement that came from the Freeform series.

Season 2 was confirmed thanks to a brief announcement video, one that ended with a tagline declaring "Season 2 will be Mayhem." The emphasis on Mayhem was underlined when green scratch marks appeared over the word, making it clear that Marvel character Mayhem was going to appear on the series.

In the comic books, Brigid O'Reilly is a police detective who was poisoned by a ruthless criminal. Cloak and Dagger use their powers to try and revive her, but fail -- or so they think. O'Reilly returns to life, and she becomes a dangerous vigilante crime-fighter who goes by the name Mayhem.

It's unclear if this is the story that will unfold in Season 2 of the series, but given that Detective O'Reilly is already a part of the show, it seems Cloak and Dagger are bound to come across a new vigilante in the streets of New Orleans.
