As part of their Freeform Summit this evening, the Disney-owned network finally announced a premiere date for Cloak & Dagger. The series originally debuted a buzzy trailer last year, helping to ignite interest among fans, but never unveiled a release date beyond 2018. Now, it has been confirmed that the series will officially launch on June 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Along with a release date, Freeform has unveiled a brand new sneak peek at the series.

The newly released clip sees Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph), aka Cloak, running into Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt), aka Dagger, at a party. However, this isn't the first time the duo has met. Following their story line in the comics, the two kids, who come from different paths in life, actually met under grim circumstances when they were much younger, leading to their powers.
