Marvel has released a few updated versions of classic origins with its Season One line, which has re-imagined heroes like Spider-Man and the X-Men's earliest days. Strange Origin follows a similar approach as Dr. Stephen Strange embarks on a world-hopping mission to become the Sorceror Supreme.
The character of Doctor Strange has had his hand in a lot of other genres and stories in the Marvel Universe and has been tied to the origins of the vampires due to his confrontation with Dracula during The Montesi Formula storyline, which also includes a team-up with Blade, the Nightstalkers, Scarlet Witch and Monica Rambeau/Spectrum!

Of course, Doctor Strange doesn't always work alone when it comes to saving the world from mystical threats and has often allied himself with the most powerful heroes of the Marvel Universe with the Defenders, and later the Secret Defenders. This volume collects his time with the latter team which included powerful members like Hulk, Silver Surfer, and many more.
He's also been forced to work alongside some of the darker magic users in the Marvel Universe, including the despotic Doctor Doom, who is not only a technological genius, but also a serious practitioner of the mystical arts. Craig Russell brought his unique gift to the world of Doctor Strange over a few years, and What is it That Disturbs You, Stephen? collects not only his celebrated work on the titular storyline, but also the stories that led up to the mind-bending tale that takes Strange and his apprentice Clea on an otherworldy journey.
Brian K. Vaughn and Marcos Martin teamed up for Doctor Strange: The Oath, which saw Doctor Strange using all of the mystical abilities at his command to solve his own attempted murder and to save his loyal friend and ally Wong while teaming up with the Night Nurse. A great read for a great price!
