My Hero Academia has taken the world by storm in a relatively short time. With the fifth season of the anime right around the corner, fans are excited to see how the next manga arc is adapted. Thus far the anime has done a pretty good job of following the manga, with an emphasis on Class 1-A at U.A. High School. While Class 1-A always appears to be at the center of all of the conflicts, there are other hero classes on campus.

Class 1-B always appears to be living in the shadow of Class 1-A despite having some students with incredibly strong Quirks of their own. In addition to strong Quirks, they have students with some incredibly unique Quirks as well, such as Copy, Weld, Razor Sharp, and Gyrate. However, not all Quirks were made equal and some students are stuck with what they've got.

10 Weak: Pony Tsunotori; Quirk - Horn Cannon

MHA Pony Tsunotori

While the name of the Quirk sounds impressive, the horns are relatively small and the cannon part is only as powerful as Pony has trained it to be. Pony can control the horns, slightly, once they've left her head, but there are limits to how many she can control at a time.

Additionally, many other Quirks would be enough to subdue Pony and keep her from using her abilities. She appears to use her hands to controls the horns, so if her hands are bound she instantly becomes a liability.

9 Strong: Ibara Shiozaki; Quirk - Vines

Anime Ibara shiozaki

The vines that sprout from Ibara's head replace her hair and are incredibly versatile as well as powerful. Not only are her vines great for restraining enemies, but they are also strong enough to burrow through solid concrete. Her vines are also shown to be immune to electrical charges during her fight with Kaminari.

Ibara's vines can also be used for protection and form a powerful barrier that requires quite a bit of strength to knock down. They can also grab and throw things that are much heavier than anything Ibara could lift with her arms.

8 Weak: Kinoko Komori; Quirk - Mushroom

Anime My Hero Academia Kinoko Komori Shroom Shooter Guns

Kinoko is capable of growing mushrooms anywhere on the battlefield via spores she emits from her body. However, if her team isn't properly sterilized, the mushrooms will affect them as well. Additionally, the drier the environment, the more difficult her Quirk becomes to use and the less powerful it becomes.

While a well-placed mushroom to the inside of the mouth or throat could potentially cause choking or suffocation, the Quirk itself isn't very strong. Hopefully, Kinoko can come across villains with a mushroom allergy.

7 Strong: Itsuka Kendo; Quirk - Big Fist

Itsuka Kendo using her big fist quirk to smash a foe in My Hero Academia

Big Fist doesn't sound like much, but Kendo is capable of increasing the size of her hands up to three times the size of her body. Her physical strength in her hands becomes wildly increased to the point that she can even bend incredibly strong metals such as Tungsten.

She is also capable of smashing her opponents under her massive fists as well as crushing them in her grip. She can also transport injured allies quite easily so the Quirk is not only powerful but surprisingly versatile.

6 Weak: Setsuna Tokage; Quirk - Lizard Tail Splitter

Setsuna Tokage from My Hero Academia

This Quirk is certainly one of the weirder ones in Class 1-B and definitely one of the grosser ones. Setsuna is capable of splitting herself into up to 50 different pieces and distributing them across the battlefield in a variety of ways. She can telepathically control these pieces but eventually, she runs out of energy and has to recall them or regenerate new parts.

This type of Quirk would be good for catching an enemy off guard or relaying information to others without a communication device. However, it isn't much in the strength category and seems like more trouble than it's worth.

5 Strong: Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu; Quirk - Steel

tetsutetsu

Tetsu to the fourth has a Quirk that is essentially an exact copy of Kirishima's Quirk, but instead of rock or stone, Tetsutetsu's skin becomes steel. Tetsutetsu and Kirishima actually went head to head during the U.A. Sports Festival and went blow for blow until they each delivered a punch so powerful that it knocked the other out.

Fans have seen Kirishima develop his Quirk to a scary level, so assuming Tetsutetsu is capable of the same, his Quirk should be even more powerful as steel typically beats stone. Pair the added strength with the increase in weight, density, and hardness and Tetsutetsu has an incredibly strong Quirk by the standards of basic physics.

4 Weak: Kojiro Bondo; Quirk - Cemedine

Kojiro Bondo from My Hero Academia

The glue that Bondo emits is quite sticky and he can even control the rate at which it dries. Cemedine would make for a great support-type Quirk, as it is capable of blocking projectiles and incapacitating enemies. However, it just isn't very strong, at least not from an offensive perspective.

Like most emission Quirks, there is a limit to how much Bondo can use his Quirk. Once Bondo has used so much glue, he will probably have to stop for a while and his control over the glue is likely lessened as he loses energy. The glue can't really be used to damage opponents either.

3 Strong: Jurota Shishida; Quirk - Beast

Jurota Shishida in Beast Mode from My Hero Academia

Jurota's Quirk allows him to transform into an incredibly powerful beast with significantly enhanced senses. Once his Quirk is fully activated, Jurota grows in size, becomes wildly hairy, and loses much of his humanity as his instincts take over and he truly becomes a feral beast.

In addition to increased senses, his strength, speed, and agility gain significant boosts giving him the power he needs to tear through enemies or carry allies to safety. He has even been able to shake off electrical attacks in his beast form. If Jurota could maintain his intelligence while in his full beast form, this could have been the most powerful quirk in Class 1-B.

2 Weak: Shihai Kuroiro; Quirk - Black

Anime My Hero Academia Shihai Kuroiro Hanging From Darkness

Kuroiro's Quirk is an excellent Quirk for stealth or surprise purposes, but it doesn't provide any sort of power boost. His Quirk allows him to travel through black-colored objects and even merge with them on occasion. The objects can be black or covered in shadow, but once the shadow is gone his Quirk becomes useless.

He is capable of moving or controlling the objects he is bound with, but he can't move very heavy objects. Additionally, unless he is fighting in a place with a lot of shadows or at night, he doesn't really have any powers. Even when he can use his Quirk, it doesn't provide any real offensive benefit aside from the element of surprise.

1 Strong: Nirengeki Shoda; Quirk - Twin Impact

Nirengeki Shoda from My Hero Academia.

Twin Impact is a subtly strong Quirk that, when used correctly, can take down almost any foe. Shoda's Quirk allows him to deliver a follow-up impact after an initial impact, at any point of his choosing, and the second impact is many times more powerful than the first.

The stronger Shoda is, the better his Quirk becomes, and his Quirk is also helpful with respect to quick movement around the battlefield. Shoda has been able to knock out foes with one hit, foes with powerful Quirks of their own, making Twin Impact one of the strongest Quirks at U.A. High School.
