Clark Kent Joins the Military in Superman: Year One Trailer

A new trailer for Superman: Year One shows Clark Kent joining the military, learning to fly and several other important events in the hero's life.

Written by comics legend Frank Miller (The Dark Knight RisesSin CityBatman: Year One) and illustrated by John Romita Jr. (Kick-AssThe Amazing Spider-ManIron Man), Superman: Year One provides an origin story for the Man of Steel. Miller and Romita Jr. previously collaborated on 1993's Daredevil: Man Without Fear

Superman: Year One is a three-issue miniseries part of DC Black Label, which is known for its standalone, more adult-oriented stories. The first series to premiere on the label was 2018's Batman: Damned by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo. Other series include Sean Gordon Murphy and Matt Hollingsworth's Batman: White Knight and Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman: Last Knight on Earth. Later this year, Black Label will also see the releases of Harleen, a re-imagined Harley Quinn origin, and a Harley Quinn/Joker series called Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity.

Superman: Year One #1, by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr., arrives in comic stores and via digital download on June 19. The collected series will drop in November.
