CBS has released the first teaser trailer for the Silence of the Lambs sequel series Clarice.

The teaser also confirms the series will premiere on CBS and CBS All Access Feb. 11, 2021.

The Silence of the Lambs was a psychological thriller starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster, based on a novel by Thomas Harris. Its enduring appeal has led to multiple screen adaptations of Harris's writing, which met with varying levels of success. Clarice is meant to take up where the original movie left off, following Clarice Starling one year after the events of the film.

Venture into 1993, a year after the events of "The Silence of the Lambs," to explore the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C. Watch the series premiere of Clarice on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 10/9c on CBS and CBS All Access.

Clarice stars Rebecca Breeds as Clarice Starling, Michael Cudlitz as Paul Krendler, Lucca de Oliveira as Tomas Esquivel, Kal Penn as Shaan Tripathi, Nick Sandow as Agent Clarke, Devyn Tyler as Ardelia Mapp and Marnee Carpenter as Catherine Martin. The series premieres Feb. 11, 2021 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on CBS and CBS All Access.
