Brown portrayed Burg in Season 1 of The Mandalorian, appearing in the episode "The Prisoner". He was part of a crew that Din Djarin joined in order to free a prisoner from a New Republic transport ship. Mando eventually came to blows with his crewmates and locked them aboard the ship. Brown has also voiced several characters in other Star Wars media, including Darth Maul's brother Savage Oppress in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Ryder Azani in Star Wars Rebels.

The Child figure was created by a partnership between Sideshow and Legacy Effects. Legacy Effects is an award-winning studio that has created creature effects for several films and television shows including The Mandalorian, as well as The Shape of Water and the Guardians of the Galaxy films. "Having developed the Child for the show, it's natural we're helping bring it to the collectible world," Legacy's co-owner John Rosengrant said in a video announcing the figure.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. New episodes arrive Fridays on Disney+.
