So far, all of "Captain America: Civil War's" promotional push has focused on the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man's teams of heroes. We've yet to see Daniel Bruhl, who plays Baron Zemo in the film, appear in any of the trailers or photos for "Civil War." While Bruhl has not been able to say all that much about his mysterious villain (he did reveal that he doesn't wear the character's iconic purple mask), he did talk to Total Film magazine about his character -- but was also careful not to say too much.

"I was really told not to [say anything] because there are so many secrets in the film. And also my character's quite mysterious, so I'm really scared to say too much," said Bruhl, as transcribed by Cosmic Book News. "The things I've mentioned in interviews before were already too much -- and I thought it was nothing!"

Bruhl added that he was cast in the role in part because of his German accent. "Yes, but what I like is it's not a stereotype," added Bruhl. "It's not a guy who's mean and sinister, but he's actually very clever -- a very smart guy who does everything out of a very understandable reason and motivation... Some of the things that happen in the film, and why they happen, are because of him. He is orchestrating things that happen throughout the film. I think that's something I can say, goddamn it!"

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
