Fandom and Cirque du Soleil are bringing their annual Fandom Party to Comic-Con International in San Diego for the fourth year in a row. Attendees will get an exclusive sneak peek at Cirque du Soleil's first live-action thriller, R.U.N.
R.U.N is Cirque du Soleil's newest show exploring the world of stunts, combining an unprecedented sensory experience with state-of-the-art special effects, human performance and cutting-edge technology.
“We are thrilled to work alongside Cirque du Soleil to unveil this unprecedented live entertainment experience,” Fandom's chief revenue officer Ken Shapiro said in a statement. “At Fandom we’re committed to providing our fans with the ultimate destination to celebrate their pop-culture passion and we cannot wait to bring that experience to life once again at Comic-Con.”
Those attending the Fandom Party at the Hard Rock Hotel will get a look at a R.U.N-inspired act by show director Michael Schwandt and creation director Stefan Miljevic, with a live performance by R.U.N music composer Tyler Bates and a voice-over narration by the acclaimed filmmaker, Robert Rodriguez, who is also credited as a writer on the show.
The Fandom Party will be held on Thursday, July 18th at the Hard Rock Hotel, with R.U.N premiering in October at Luxor in Las Vegas.
