At SXSW, Cinemax announced that "Outcast" will premiere June 3 on the premium cable channel -- in addition to revealing their renewal of the series for a second season ahead of its debut.

Based on the original Skybound comic series by Robert Kirkman, "Outcast" is executive produced by Kirkman, showrunner Chris Black, David Alpert, Sharon Tal Yguado and Sue Naegle, for Fox International Studios.

"Outcast" follows Patrick Fugit's Kyle Barnes -- a man who's been possessed by demons since childhood -- who sets out on a journey to find answers that could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
