The new Chucky television series may be headed by an all-new cast of teens ripe for the slaughter, but the series is the latest continuation of the 30-year franchise. Consisting of Child’s Play 1, 2, 3, Bride-, Seed-, Curse-, and Cult of Chucky, the series has maintained a continuity across 7 films that comes to a head in this new series.

As the show is a continuation of the franchise, that means that there are characters that have been featured in and out of the movies. When the Chucky series was announced to be led by Don Mancini, writer of all previous installments, fans were excited to learn that some familiar faces would be joining the killer doll.

5 Brad Dourif Returns To Voice The Iconic Chucky Doll

Veteran character actor and horror icon, Brad Dourif has had a storied screen and stage career. Dourif achieved his big break as Billy Bibbit in the Jack Nicholson-led One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which was the onscreen debut of both Dourif and Christopher Lloyd.

With over 100 projects under his belt, Dourif became a staple of horror media, appearing in both Rob Zombie Halloween movies, Urban Legends, and Alien: Resurrection. Outside of horror, he is best recognized for his role as Gríma Wormtongue in The Lord Of The Rings.

Brad Dourif returns as the iconic voice of the serial killer-turned-Good Guy doll Chucky. As the only member of the returning cast to have been involved in every Chucky movie, save for the 2019 reboot which featured the voice of Mark Hamill, Dourif’s inclusion was welcomed by fans.

With Chucky’s history being expanded in the series, Dourif is continuing the legacy of the character with gusto. Along with newcomer Zackary Arthur, Dourif is the only actor to be featured in all 10 episodes of the first season.

4 Fiona Dourif Is Recent Addition Nica Pierce

Series lead Brad Dourif's daughter, Fiona Dourif, is the newest comer to the franchise, entering the series in 2013’s Curse of Chucky. In addition to the Chucky franchise, she has made a name for herself in both horror and non-horror roles.

She has made recurring appearances in The Purge series, The Blacklist, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and True Blood. Dourif has additionally been in several movies, including the Robert Englund-led Fear Clinic, Garden Party, and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet.

Fiona Dourif is returning to the role of Nica Pierce, the Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky's final girl. Nica is a paraplegic woman with a heart condition whose mother was Charles Lee Ray's former love, before his doll possession.

It is revealed that her paralysis was caused by Chucky in utero when he stabbed Nica’s mother in the stomach while pregnant. After being admitted to a mental institution, she is hunted by Chucky, who ends Cult of Chucky inhabiting her body and riding off into the night.

3 Alex Vincent Makes A Triumphant Return As Andy Barclay

The secondary face of the Child’s Play franchise, Alex Vincent started acting at five years old after seeing a neighbor on television. After landing several commercials, he was cast in Child’s Play alongside Dourif, Wait Until Spring, Bandini alongside Joe Mantegna, and My Family Treasure opposite Dee Wallace.

While Vincent appeared in a few other movies over the last few decades, he has turned to work in sound design and production, having done work on Koko, Frost Bite, and South of Central.

Alex Vincent returns to the franchise that launched his career as Andy Barclay, the first child to ever interact with the Chucky doll. While his story took a pause after Child’s Play 3, though played by another actor for that movie, the character returned in Curse of Chucky's post-credits scene. He took on a starring role in the sequel Cult of Chucky.

The character returns for the Chucky series in the first episode to warn Jake of the dangerous doll. While he hasn’t appeared in person, the series intends to end the war between the two in one way or another.

2 Christine Elise Revives The Role Of Kyle

Christine is a television star and internet influencer. She began her career on network television, with recurring roles in ER, Beverly Hills 90210, China Beach, and L.A. Firefighters. Since the 1990s, she has had over 20 guest appearances on various shows, including Law & Order: SVU, Charmed, and Castle.

Though her largest appearance was in Child’s Play 2, she went on to star in Boiling Point opposite Wesley Snipes and 1993’s Body Snatchers as R. Lee Ermey’s daughter. She has since gone behind the scenes producing series like Best Bars In America and Hellevator. She also runs a popular blog and video series about vegan food.

First appearing as Kyle, Andy’s adoptive sister in Child’s Play 2, she ended that movie as the final girl before disappearing until Cult of Chucky. Like Andy before her, the character Kyle returned to the franchise in a post-credit scene which directly led to her return for the television series.

A notable actor on stage and screen, well-known voice actor, and poker star, Jennifer Tilly has the distinction of being one of the most recognizable members of the cast. Launching her career as a recurring guest on Hill Street Blues, she had memorable guest roles in Cheers, It's Garry Shandling's Show, and Frasier.

Tilly achieved acclaim for her role as Olive Neal in Bullets Over Broadway, losing an Academy Award to co-star Diane Wiest. Having a distinct voice, Tilly has made a lasting career as a voice actor, voicing Bonnie Swanson in Family Guy and Celia Mae in the Monsters, Inc. franchise.

First introduced to the series as Charles Lee Ray’s former lover, Tiffany Valentine, in Bride of Chucky, Tiffany is a murderous woman with a heart who gets tricked into a doll body by Chucky. After turning on Chucky to save some humans, she almost dies before giving birth to a doll child.

In addition to Tilly returning to the role of Tiffany in Seed of Chucky, she also plays a fictionalized version of herself whose body is taken over by the Tiffany doll by the end of the movie. She again returns for the sequels to help Chucky escape his doll body and return to Hackensack where the Chucky series picks up.
