Syfy and the USA Network recently released the first Halloween-theed teaser for Season 2 of Chucky, which is set to premiere in October. Created by Mancini, the series follows the titular menacing doll as he crosses paths with various enemies and picks new targets for his sinister plans. Season 1 ended with a group of teens thwarting Chucky's plans to invade children's hospitals across the country, and Season 2 will see Chucky seek to enact his revenge on those who stopped him.

Tiffany Returns in Chucky Season 2

Created by Mancini, Chucky debuted in the 1988 slasher film Child's Play, which gained a cult following and spawned an entire film franchise consisting of six sequels: Child's Play 2 (1990), Child's Play 3 (1991), Bride of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2013), Curse of Chucky (2013) and Cult of Chucky (2017). Tilly first appeared in the fourth film in the Chucky franchise, Bride of Chucky, where she debuted as Tiffany Valentine, Chucky's murderous lover who relocates her soul into a doll in order to be with him. Tiffany appears in the subsequent three movies -- Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky -- before taking over the body of a fictionalized version of Tilly, which is the form she takes in the Syfy series.

NBC Universal announced that Chucky would be returning for a second season in November 2021. Other stars include Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.

Prior to the release of the first teaser, Mancini teased Chucky's bloody return in Season 2. "We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky," he said. "Many thanks to our partners at USA, SYFY and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks and a message: 'This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022!'"

Season 2 of Chucky is set to premiere at 9 p.m. on Oct. 5 on USA Network and SYFY, with new episodes premiering every Tuesday.
