A heartwarming new trailer gives fans a closer look at Disney's Christopher Robin, and sticks a hand in the honey pot to reinvent the childhood classic.

Starring Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin, the story picks up with an adult version of the boy depicted in A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard's Winnie-the-Pooh. Based on the original drawings, Pooh and the gang definitely look a little different from their cartoon counterparts in The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

As the trailer reminds fans, Marc Forster's comedy-drama is "From the studio that brought you Beauty and the Beast," and again hopes to cash in on some of Disney's legacy characters. Leaving his life in the city behind, Christopher Robin goes back to Hundred Acre Wood to enjoy the fun and frolics of his childhood with familiar faces like Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore.

As well as McGregor, Christopher Robin also stars Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn and Jim Cummings as Pooh, while the supporting cast includes Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Chris O’Dowd as Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Toby Jones as Owl, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga and Peter Capaldi as Rabbit.  Hitting theaters on Aug. 3, Christopher Robin promises to be a family-friendly movie for those who have grown up with the characters and newcomers alike.
