Although "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" has been making the rounds since at least the mid-1960s, receiving the occasional boost from the likes of The Simpsons and Batman: The Animated Series, the inspired front-lawn display pictured above demonstrates the Christmas song parody is indeed timeless.
"The 7-year-old in the group got it right away," wrote the Redditor who posted the photo.
Of course, one commenter had to go and ruin things by pointing out the display is out of order; Robin and the Batmobile's wheel should be switched. We can't have anything nice, not even on Christmas Eve ...
(As an aside: This Children and Youth in History entry about the song contains the term "fartlore," which made me giggle like, well, a 7-year-old.)
