Chris Pratt offers a new look at co-stars Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff in a behind-the-scenes photo from Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

"Here's us backstage on set waiting to Guardian the Galaxy," the Star-Lord actor wrote in the caption accompanying the shot of the three actors in full makeup and costume as Yondu, Nebula and Mantis. "Can't wait for you to see these three in the movie. #rooker and @karengillanofficial are back, bigger and badder then ever and introducing #mantis @pomin8r who absolutely crushes!"

Arriving in theaters in less than a month, the sequel picks up just months after the events of Marvel Studios' 2014 hit, the sequel follows the Guardians of the Galaxy as they travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their newfound family together, all while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage.

Pratt's relationship with both his father Ego (played by Kurt Russell) and Yondu is central to the film, writer/director James Gunn has said each member of the sprawling cast will receive a character arc.

Opening May 5, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Glenn Close as Irani Rael and Kurt Russell as Ego.
