Like many Marvel fans, Chris Hemsworth wants to see his hero, Thor, team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy again on the big screen.
At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, leaving Valkyrie to watch over the Asgardians left on Earth. After this, it was somewhat unclear if Thor was considered an official member of the MCU's Guardians.
While it's not clear if this set Thor up to have a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Hemsworth said that he would be open to reprising his role with Marvel's team of heroic cosmic misfits, perhaps even as one of the Asgardians of the Galaxy.
"I'd play that character again. I love it so much - especially if there's something unique to do again with it," Hemsworth said in an interview with Cinemablend. "I felt like the last three films were very, very different each time."
When presented with the idea of being an Asgardian of the Galaxy, Hemsworth said, "I'll work with any of those guys. Asgardian Of The Galaxy. That's actually great. You might've just got me my next job."
Before he picks up Mjolnir or Stormbreaker as Thor again, Hemsworth will appear in another comic book-based movie, Men in Black: International, beside his Thor: Ragnarok and Endgame co-star, Tessa Thompson.
Written and directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 does not currently have a release date. The film is reportedly scheduled to begin production in February 2021.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The film is in theaters now.
