The gender-switching in the upcoming, Paul Feig-directed, "Ghostbusters" isn't limited to the titular foursome: The Hollywood Reporter has word that Chris Hemsworth, Marvel Studios' Thor, has joined the Sony film as the Ghostbusters' receptionist, mirroring the role played in the 1984 original (and 1989 sequel) by Annie Potts.

Hemsworth joins by a cast headed up by a new Ghostbusters team of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. This will be his second role in a major comedy revival -- he's also appearing in "Vacation," a follow-up to the "National Lampoon's Vacation" series, scheduled for release on July 29.
